Here are a couple things I’m involved in –

I live in Los Barriles, BCS, Mexico in the winter and Sunriver, OR area in the summer – also have a place in Vancouver/Portland – and used to live in Seattle, Orcas Island, Cambridge England, and various other places. Quite happy in Mexico these days.

Silvaris – an investment from a long time ago (circa 1999) – doing an amazing job brokering building materials around the US, Canada, and Mexico. I’m on the board and proud to be involved in this great company – Click here – Silvaris

NuEra Heat – a company I bought with my brother, John Clemens. Industrial waste oil heating equipment for commercial applications. My brother runs the company with a few other great peeps and he’s doing a great job and he amazes me every day .. great product and great folks there – Click here – NuEra Heat

Leaders2Give – L2G – I’m on the board of directors for Leaders 2 Give. Their mission is to inspire, teach, empower people to become leaders who possess the skills required to solve the problems facing society by providing an opportunity to engage in hands-on work in developing communities. They have a good footprint in the town I live in here in Mexico – Los Barriles and have done some wonderful work with orphans, local healthcare, and other local challenges in our developing community. Kiva – an excellent organization that makes micro loans around the world – I’m almost up to 700 loans now over 15+ years and it’s great to see how people use small loans to improve their lives – you can do it too – start with as little as $25 – Here is my lender page – Click here – Dan’s Lender Page

Los Barriles Food Bank  – Along with Emma Nicholson we founded and organized the food bank for our small town during the Covid-19 pandemic. Raised a lot of capital and we are feeding 5,000 to 6,000 people a week. It’s not super active now because the need is not there – but it was a great resource for the community and if we need to do it again, we have the details figured out!
